A next-generation creature created by merging two parents

How does merging work in Creature?

In Creature, the Merger consumes two creatures and produces one new egg. The child's stat ranges are derived from its parents' actual stats, its Fortune Multiplier (which sets rarity) can be inherited, and you can add DNA during the merge. Every merge extends a Family Tree of up to 15 creatures.

Merging is strategic: you sacrifice two creatures to build a stronger next generation. It is also the only way to craft rare Souls — the auras that change how a creature looks.

Step by step

How a merge plays out

  1. Pick two parents

Choose two creatures from your Vault. Matching Fortune Multipliers or Souls unlock the best results.

  2. Add DNA (optional)

Inject DNA strands to push the child's stat ranges even higher.

  3. Merge

Pay 1 Energy, 50,000 CTE and 2 Star Shards. Both parents are consumed.

  4. Hatch the child

The new egg incubates like any other and hatches with inherited ranges and rarity.

  5. Grow the tree

The child carries the Family Tree forward — up to 15 creatures per line.

Inheritance

How rarity passes to the next generation

Parents' Fortune MultipliersChild's Fortune Multiplier
Identical (e.g. 1.6 and 1.6)Keeps the same value
Differ by exactly 0.1 (e.g. 1.5 and 1.6)Gets the higher value 2 out of 3 times
Differ by more than 0.1Gets the rounded average

Rarity can therefore be climbed over generations instead of only rolled for. How rarity works.

Why sacrificing is the smart move

A strong creature from a merged bloodline

Two good creatures, one better one

The child's stat ranges come from what its parents actually rolled, not from a fresh start. Merge two strong creatures and the next generation starts strong — and DNA added during the merge stacks on top.

A practical tip from the game itself: raising the lower bound of a stat range is worth more than raising the upper one, because it guarantees strength instead of gambling on it.

A rare Singularity Card in Creature

Bloodlines pay out twice

Deep family lines are valuable even when you let them go. When a creature is run through the Extractor, it returns one Singularity Card per creature in its family line at its own rarity — so a long bloodline turns into a stack of stat-boosting cards for the next generation.

Merging, not breeding

Creature has no pairing-style breeding where parents stay around. Both parents are consumed, which keeps every Family Tree readable and makes each merge a real decision: is this pair worth more as the start of something new?

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Is there a game where you merge monsters into stronger ones?
Yes. In Creature, a free Android game, the Merger combines two creatures into one new egg. The child inherits stat ranges from its parents' actual stats, can inherit their rarity, and continues a Family Tree of up to 15 creatures.
Are the parents gone after a merge?
Yes. Both parent creatures are consumed. That is the trade-off: you give up two creatures to raise a stronger next generation.
Can merging increase rarity?
It can help. Identical Fortune Multipliers are kept, and parents that differ by exactly 0.1 pass on the higher value two out of three times. Larger differences give the rounded average.
What does a merge cost?
1 Energy, 50,000 CTE and 2 Star Shards.
Is merging the same as evolution in other games?
Not quite. Creatures do not evolve on their own; they improve through generations. Each merge creates a new creature that builds on its parents, which is closer to raising a bloodline than leveling up a single pet.
How do I get Souls like shiny or chrome?
Only through merging. Two creatures whose Souls match a recipe produce a higher-tier Soul — for example Charged + Chrome = Shiny, the final Tier 4 Soul.
Is there a limit to how often a line can be merged?
Yes. A family line caps at 15 creatures; after that the line can no longer be merged.
